/exhibition information

/VISIBILITY can be understood in a broad context, oscillating between prominent and impressive displays to the desire for withdrawal and deferral. Eurich’s practice emphasizes the latter, focusing on the production of forms and images where meaning remains latent. Navigating the uneven terrains of our present time Miner’s work looks to engage subjects from different angles while taking into account economies of means and qualities of relations. By seeking to evoke, rather than seize, a photographic state of being Miner emphasizes an anxiety that shadows photography.

/Artist Bio

/Liza Eurich completed her BFA from Emily Carr University in 2010 and her MFA from Western University in 2012. She co-publishes the online project Moire and recently completed international residencies at Acme Studios (London, UK), Glasgow Sculpture Studios (Glasgow, UK) and Banff (Banff, AB). Represented by MKG127 in Toronto, her work has been exhibited at G Gallery, Neutral Ground, Hamilton Artists Inc., Plug-In ICA, McIntosh Gallery, Justina M. Barnicke Gallery and the Power Plant.

/Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Colin Miner is currently based in Toronto. He completed a PhD at Western University and holds an MFA from the University of British Columbia. Miner’s solo exhibitions include Album Gallery, Toronto and the McIntosh Gallery, London, Ontario. Selected group exhibitions include Art Gallery of Alberta, Edmonton, Gallery 44, Toronto, Beijing Center of Art, The Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery, Vancouver, and Postdamer Platz Gallery, Germany. Miner’s art practice includes writing, facilitating exhibitions, and the artist project Moiré.
