Stride has been participating in publication exchange activities with galleries across Canada and around the world for many years. The result of this participation is a growing collection of catalogues, monographs, artist publications and other print materials held onsite at the gallery as a resource for our community. Recently organized into a searchable catalogue, these materials are now more accessible than ever. The catalogue is searchable online, and materials can be accessed by request during regular gallery hours. Interested parties are encouraged to visit the gallery and inquire about the Library Collection.
Stride maintains a growing archive of the exhibitions held in each of our spaces as a resource to artists, students, and the visual arts community. An ongoing project, the archive represents Stride’s exhibition history from the first exhibitions ever to the most recent events, and is updated regularly.
A major flood in 2004 damaged many of our hard copy materials, which has resulted in some gaps in our online records. We welcome artists and writers who have played a part in Stride’s exhibition history to contact us if they are able to supply us with visual documentation or text-based information to fill these gaps. We continue to work towards a complete and comprehensive record.
