VOLUNTEER

Support the Calgary visual arts community and artist-run culture by volunteering at the Stride Gallery. It is a great opportunity to build necessary practical and theoretical career experience in a contemporary artist run centre and provides a chance to work directly with professional artists.

Volunteer duties may include various day-to-day gallery activities such as: clerical duties, mailers, gallery attending, fundraising events, opening receptions, exhibition installation and striking.

For their contribution, Stride Gallery volunteers receive a Friendship.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Stride offers semester-long internships for students as part of the Alberta College of Art + Design’s Practicum Program. The program allows students to develop crucial hands-on administrative and programming experience while obtaining school credit.

Please contact the Alberta College of Art + Design for information on the FINA 400 course.

FRIENDSHIP

The Stride Art Gallery Association is grateful to its many Friends for their support of the gallery.  With the help of our Friends’ financial contributions, volunteer time, and specialized expertise, Stride is able to maintain active and critical programming.  This crucial support ensures we can continue to provide excellent professional development opportunities to contemporary Canadian artists, and play a significant role in Calgary’s vibrant arts and culture community.

With your donation of $20 (or $10 for students), you will receive a year-long Friendship with Stride, which will include invitations to our exhibitions and special events, access to our archives and resources, and special notices about what’s happening here at the gallery.

Donations are always welcome, and Stride will issue a tax receipt for any contribution that exceeds $20.  To learn about opportunities to sponsor Stride’s programming or special events, or to find out about how to access our resources, please contact the gallery directly.  To become a Friend of Stride, simply complete the form at the link below and return it to the gallery with your contribution, or follow the Canada Helps link below to make your friendship donation online.
