/Brandon A. Dalmer — tautological Observance
|
|
/exhibition information/BRANDON DALMER is a meticulous guy; spending most of his time in the studio tracing the same images over and over while watching Thundercats, in a vain effort to gain a window into perfection. “Tautological Observance” explores the idea of the often-unnecessary repetition of images and ideas within Brandon’s work, as well as the ritualistic process in which he follows. Drawing inspiration from various low art forms of working, such as tracing, paint by numbers; as well as an atrocious domestic aesthetic, and use of 1970’s wood paneling, Brandon constructs a vague narrative within a cluster of finely tuned drawings. back to top/Artist Bio/BRANDON A.
