EXHIBITION INFORMATION

Involving still photography, video/audio presentation and three dimensional objects, Milthorp explores the “direct connection between how the individual in culture “pictures” the world and how self is constituted”. The Multiversity of contemporary scenery can cause both processes to be “fragile, transient and often whimsical”. The landscape, the figure in landscape and ecology are all sources of imagery which enhance the technological ccharacter of the media used. Establishing “viewpoints, choices and limits of ‘seeing’”, Milthorp reconstitutes the viewer as participant in the complex technological landscape of POLY-OPT-ICON.
