EXHIBITION INFORMATION

Red Smarties and Monkey, the most famous comic character in Chinese literature, play symbolic roles in the drawings of Hong Kong-born artist Raymond Ho. So do Sesame Street games, golden dragons, water pistols and bok choy. Long, horizontal scroll-like drawings in colored pencil, graphite, ball-point pen, and felt-tip marker are clear and articulate. They express conflicting feelings, a clash of Eastern and Western values, the confusion of being in between.
