EXHIBITION INFORMATION

RECENT WORKS is a solo exhibition of new polypropylene (sealing tape) objects and paintings that create places of resistance that directly affect the meaning of the subject. Dalgleish is concerned with the complexities of interpretation. He described the work as a series of communicative efforts developed from a skewed and congested vocabulary as demonstrated through his use of exploratory methods and materials. Unlike readily understood characters that form language, Dalgleish does not try to isolate, define or articulate particular meaning through his objects. His work is not obligated to make common sense, but rather, each object reveals a process by which endless interpretations are raised and left without resolution.
