AUGUST – SEPTEMBER, 1994
LOCATION – CALGARY CENTRE FOR PERFORMING ARTS
225, 8th Avenue S.E, CALGARY, ALBERTA
EXHIBITION INFORMATION
SEEING THROUGH is an installation consisting of wax and flower garment pieces, occupying all 5 windows in the +15 viewing area. The project addresses ideas about window display, the commodity and the seduction of marketing. The work is both critical and complicit. Ironically, in drawing closer to these beautiful objects one is quickly repelled by the feeling of pin pricks and the vulnerable bits of flesh and blood revealed.
