EXHIBITION INFORMATION
ABENDSTERN was an installation comprised of new work from Brendan French. The back wall had heavily textured drawing pages that develop into a grid pattern, while sitting on the floor were several piles of blank sheets of rice paper. On top of each stack of paper laid 3 inch thick slabs, comprised of steel shavings, sand, earth and plaster. Once installed, the book-like formations act as a quiet recording/reflection of life and experience through use of repetition, pattern, and substance.
