These portraits investigate the notion of consent, and concentrate on gestures and facial expressions as a means of communication. Perception — in this case of a person — goes beyond the recognition of external signs and gestures, to receive projected messages that are peripheral to our direct reading. This series of works creates a composite portrait of a subtle and complex system of interaction.
