EXHIBITION INFORMATION

CHAPTER THREE explores facets of mental crisis in traditionally private spaces that have been transitioned into a public realm create a tableau of an “episode.” Significant materials used in this work include altered, but traditionally mundane, objects from the artist’s home that have affected them in crisis, as well as hair collected from their head and their ex-partner’s head. Through these gestures Thérèse tries to both connect with anyone who can see it and spark conversations about healthy coping mechanisms and strategies for better mental health.
