Justin Waddell will present Every Time the Sun Comes Up as a very chill Saturday afternoon music listening party in conjunction with the collaborative exhibition, After Weather (Rick Silva and Justin Waddell). Works in the exhibition will be discussed in relation to forecasting, perception, cycles of change, time, measurement, and popular songs about the weather. Excerpts of selected writing by artists, poets, and theorists that have influenced works in the exhibition and make mention of the weather, speculation, and reflections on climate and the environment will be presented. A limited edition multiple made by the artist will be available to those in attendance.
