ARTIST BIO

Since graduating from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 1995, Jasmine has traveled extensively in Turkey, Poland, Isreal, and the Czech Republic. This is Jasmine’s first exhibition since returning to Calgary in 1997.

EXHIBITION TEXT

A confirmed skeptic on religious precept, and ideas related to faith and hope, Jasmine uses religious imagery and text to both question organized religion and investigate the beauty and significance found in objects of religious belief. Jasmine’s installations and objects and objects investigate her fascination with the human need of, and search for, spiritual support and/or affirmation.
