EXHIBITION INFORMATION

Warren’s dedication to the social genre of skateboarding has informed the production of a semi-biographical series of sculptures and drawings will are to be shown in the +15 window space. His creation of modified and mutated skateboard ramps from plotted blueprints possess all the qualities and craftsmanship of a typical skate ramp, but with a critical emphasis on the participation within this growing sub-culture, both from a historical and personal narrative.

 

ARTIST BIO

WARREN MCLAUCHLAN is completing his 4th year of study at the Alberta College of Art and Design, where he will receive a BFA from the Drawing department this spring. He has been a mainstay to the Calgary skateboard community for years and has recently established his own website on the matter.
