Can a tiger become envious of its herd animal prey? Watching and stalking the connection the deer have. No longer a hunter but a voyeur. Humiliation feeds the tiger more than any flesh could. How long has she been watching? Days? Years? She knows them like she knows herself. The tigers’ eyes reflect the comfort the deer feel. How badly she wants to play, but no. The deer have no claws or fangs to share with the tiger. They do not know her language of blood and gore. They will never know the tiger like the tiger knows them. The deer stray further away. “fuck those guys” the tiger said “I’ll show them who I am on the inside” she pounces, they run, she holds them. Too tight. They die. She swallows 4 deer whole. Together forever.
